Behavior Modification
Behavior Modification programs are designed for dogs and puppies with moderate to severe behavioral issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, fear, human reactivity, dog/other animal reactivity, separation anxiety, destructiveness, dogs with bite histories, etc.
Length of stay varies depending on the severity of issues and details will be discussed at length during your evaluation. These programs may include lifestyle changes as we take a look at the whole picture affecting your dog – diet, exercise, medications, and other factors. Your dog will be working on obedience foundation commands, but our primary focus will be his behavior, learning how to self -regulate and calm down, confidence building, trust, impulse control, proper play, etc. All behavior modification programs include environmental outings. These are on a case by case basis and up to the discretion of our trainers. We will start all training prospects off with a 60-minute evaluation where we get to meet you and your dog and learn more about your training goals. These are $25 and take place at our facility. Evaluations at other locations are available on a limited basis and start at $100.
Environmental Training
Any dog can benefit from our Environmental Training! This program can be added on to an obedience program and is included in most behavioral modification programs. During this training course, we will take your dog out in public, around real-world distractions, loud noises, traffic, people, other animals, dog-friendly restaurants, etc. This program builds confidence and teaches your dog that focus and obedience are a priority even when there is more exciting things going on. Environmental training is fantastic for dogs who need to work on gaining confidence, building trust, and learning the world doesn’t have to be a scary place! It includes a follow-up lesson in a public setting.
