If your pet is showing one or more of these signs, it is possible that their diet is the culprit!
Please note that not every diet is right for every dog. Each dog is an individual and a food that works well with one dog may not work well with the next.
• Moodiness Many foods have high sugar content, which causes sugar highs and crashes. This is often misinterpreted as moodiness. Sugar in any form has no place in a pets diet, and has no nutritional value. Lack of Omega 3 Fatty Acids is also generally associated with behavioral changes.
• Diarrhea or Constipation Digestion problems can often be the result of buying cheaper, lower quality foods. These foods often contain ingredients that are hard to digest by your pet and offer no nutritional value.
• Chronic Loose, Runny ‘Melted Ice Cream’ Stools Normal feces should be firm and well-formed with a consistent color.
• Stinky Poop Not to say that stool will smell like roses, but the bad smell is mostly caused by poorly digested nutrients and/or excessive fat in the food.
• Frequent Defecation If your dog is pooping four or more times daily, it is likely that there is some problem with the dogs current food.
• Dull, Flakey or Greasy Coat This is often an issue with the fat source (too much or too little) and poor quality omega-oils.
• Smelly Dog “Dog smell” shouldn’t be a thing! Often this is the result of a poor diet.
• Frequent Infections Ear, Skin, and Urinary Tract Infections can frequently be a consequence of a poor diet.
• Chronic Tiredness If your dog doesn’t feel good, he’s not going to have the energy to play and learn! Low energy is often associated with an unhealthy diet.
• Joint Discomfort A poor quality diet affects your dog’s joint function.
